My first real job was as a kennel hand while I was in high school. Eventually, I became a trainee veterinary nurse, worked my way up to become a senior nurse and then Practice Manager, before becoming a part owner of the business.
As Regional Operations Manager with VetPartners, I have full operational and financial responsibility for a portfolio of 11 clinics, both in and around Melbourne. I act as a business coach for the practice managers and lead vets of each clinic, coaching, developing, and supporting them in their everyday challenges.
I’ve gained a wealth of knowledge along the way. Every day is different, and while vet clinics are mostly the same, each one has its unique way of achieving results. Out of all my responsibilities, I find working with clinics and their leadership teams, coaching and mentoring them to achieve success, the most rewarding.
I love working and building relationships with people, striving for results in a fun and enjoyable way. There’s always so much to learn and VetPartners’ emphasis on learning and development will support anyone in achieving their long term goals.
Don’t be afraid to take a chance, ask questions, or even answer that question in the full room without worrying if it is the right answer.
