Our clinic has undergone a few changes over the past year, and our new management team’s goal is to continue providing clients with affordable, high-quality care while also creating a supportive and collaborative work environment. We feel it is important to be able to have some fun and laughs along the way, and our Chief Fun Officers (as they like to call themselves) help keep our spirits high. We also have a dedicated chill-out zone where you can spend your well-deserved lunch break and a constant supply of snacks for that 3pm slump. Our Clinic

Team Composition: A large collaborative team with a practice manager, head veterinarian, head nurse, 4 experienced veterinarians, 6 nurses, and a dedicated receptionist.

– Location: Located in the heart of Clayton with close proximity to numerous shops and cafes (including one of the best Charcoal Chicken shops in all of Melbourne).

– Facilities: A large clinic with 4 consultation rooms, 2 surgical theatres, a large prep area, designated x-ray room, separate dog/cat and hospital wards.

– Euthanasia Room: We also have a designated euthanasia room that is purposely and thoughtfully set out to provide clients with a peaceful final goodbye.

– Meetings: Frequent clinic meetings to celebrate our successes and discuss any concerns

– Perks: A constant supply of snacks to help get through the day, weekly coffee runs to keep the energy flowing, and a catered lunch once a week. We also have 2 separate staff rooms with plenty of room to relax and wind down on your break.

– Activities: Chief Fun Officers to organize clinic activities to help keep morale high. Previous events have included an Easter egg hunt, clinic bingo game and trivia nights.

– Clinic Culture: We are a tight-knit clinic who love to work collaboratively as a team. We understand the challenges of working in the veterinary industry and are passionate about supporting the physical and mental well-being of our team.

– Training: Access to the free Veterinary Training Centre which provides a fantastic opportunity to practice an array of surgeries as well as lectures and training on important topics such as behavior, oncology, ophthalmology. You will also receive a CPD allowance to allow you to pursue any other veterinary interests.

About the Role

– Full-Time Position: We are looking for a full-time veterinarian, working 38 hours a week across 4 days.

– Rotation: We rotate 1 in 3 Saturdays.

– Operating Hours: The clinic is open 8am – 6pm Monday – Friday and 8am – 3pm Saturdays. We are not open on Sundays and do not have after-hours.

– Duties: Shifts are a mix of consulting and surgery.

– Appointments: 20 minutes for vaccinations and routine consultations, and 30-40 minutes for more challenging consultations.

– Administration: You will always have scheduled time for client call backs and to finish off any notes for the day.

About You
