The Commercial Vet Advisor is a unique opportunity for a veterinarian or vet nurse to step away from clinical practice and apply their expertise in a commercial setting. This 12-month fixed-term role involves supporting veterinary teams and suppliers by providing procurement advice, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring compliance with purchasing strategies. Ideal for someone looking to expand their career beyond the clinic, this role offers a chance to influence industry-wide improvements while working in a dynamic and supportive environment.Key Responsibilities

• Provide expert advice to clinics and suppliers on procurement and product selection
• Mediate and manage supplier relationships, ensuring contract outcomes are met
• Assess and manage exception requests against the buy list
• Collaborate with operations teams to drive compliance with purchasing strategies
• Support clinics by understanding their needs and advocating for best-fit solutions
• Conduct supplier meetings to strengthen partnerships and improve outcomes
• Oversee order frequency and procurement processes, ensuring efficiency
• Maintain strong relationships with clinics and ensure reporting and compliance

Skills, Attributes, and Experience:

• Qualified veterinarian or experienced veterinary nurse looking for a new challenge
• Strong understanding of clinic operations and procurement needs
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to analyse trends and drive compliance with purchasing strategies
• Comfortable working in a commercial setting outside of clinical practice
